Hi guys! I’m back here on the blog after a few weeks off, to share with you an assessment of 2017 and talk about my goals in 2018.
About Knitting, I’m so glad because I reached my goal and I knitted clothes in adult size and I knitted 3 sweaters!
I knitted Martina cardigan of We are Knitters that I bought in sale. The Petite wool is size 8 mm so I finished work in only 3 weeks! I made some modification in the pattern by adding cables when I knitted raglan sleeves. The yarn is very nice to knit, unfortunately I’m disappointed because bobbles appear very quickly and the cardigan is quite difficult to wear as it’s so thick that I can’t wear it under a coat…
Then, I knitted Romantic sweater from 20 pulls tout doux book by Charlov released by Mango Edition. Knitted in needles size 3 mm, it was another story than Matina cardigan! With this thin yarn, I needed much more time to knit, moreover, I had other on-going works that I knitted as gifts. I need few months to complet work and then after knitting I had to stitch every pieces! Damn I hate that part! But the result is very nice and neckline an sleeves are very beautiful even if I made sleeves to long for myself… I should have measure length before stitching… Now it’s too late, I don’t have enough courage to undo and to do it one more time.
The 3rd sweater I knitted is Superbowl sweater of Wool and the Gang. Knitted in yarn size 6,5 mm, it was perfect after the Romantic sweater. It’s quite quick to knit but not too thick to wear it under a coat. The pattern is easy so it’s perfect for beginners.
So here I am with 3 sweaters made in 2017. I liked it so I will continu in 2018 with pleasure!
Talking about knitting, 2017 was the year of my come back in libraries with 2 new books! Tricot Zen & Tricotez-vous du bonheur (Mango Editions) were very nice to create thanks to the subject but also because I made them with my knit-friend: Charlov! I hope you liked them! About my health, I loose some weight in 2016 thank to a special diet but 1 year later I put on weight again… After loosing 9 kg, I restarted again my old bad habbits by eating too fat and too sweet. As I went to gym from 2 to 3 times a week, I thought it could offset but I think I would have need more than 2 or 3 workouts a week.
