Table Buzz Montorgueil


Last week with a few friends, I tried a new restaurant close to Les Halles.

Taste of the meal On the menu, a lot of different things and to start dinner, I chose the « foie gras on slate and its trio of accompaniments » (Coarse salt, chutney quince and honey). The foie gras was good but not great what make the difference are the 3 dishes. The chutney was very good and it was the first time I tried matching foie gras and honey and it was delicious! Around the table, there was also a plate of organic salmon marinated.



For the main course, I were tempted by Linguine with prawns and it was just excellent. The prawns were not poor little shrimps but meaty prawns and the cook of linguine was perfect. My acolytes chose the « Travers calf lemongrass slow cooking, soy sauce and fish sauce and tagliatelle. »



I had to sneak out before the end of the dinner and unfortunately I have not tasted the dessert …

Setting The restaurant is on three levels with a bar on the ground floor, the restaurant upstairs and a club party in the basement. The restaurant is very cozy with a very dim light and cushions everywhere. A background music was played but I found the volume a bit loud.




Service The waiter was rather friendly and starters and main courses were served in very acceptable time. For cons, the desserts arrived very late and a coffee never came!

Price For starters, it costs between 8€ for a smooth and 13.5€ for the foie gras. For thr main course, they are displayed beyween 11.90€ for macaroni with ham and 22.50€ for a piece of butcher Salers. Desserts cost between 5.50e for a fruit carpaccio and 9.90€ for a cheese plate. Having book the table via we had a discount : -40% off for a minimum starter + main course or main course + dessert. So I paid my dinner 18 €.
