For some years, when my birthday is a week day, my man and I celebrate the event by going to the restaurant. Because I’m a carnivore, I decided to go back to Santa Carne’s I had known last year thanks to friends who took us there.
Santa Carne – Argentine cuisine, specialty Argentine grilled meat
Taste of the meal
Like last time, the beef was a real delight. Cooked to perfection, it was tender as I like. Served with little potatoes and a small green salad dressed with mango vinaigrette and dotted with pomegranate, the plate was a real treat!
And like last time, I was disappointed by the dessert. As it was my birthday, I wanted to end the dinner with a sweet note but at the end of the meal, but I was disapointed. Rice with coconut milk was good but soon disgusting. And the chocolate fondant was too fat. Next time, this is a starter that will tempt me!
Setting Nothing has changed since our last visit in October 2013.
Service What I particularly appreciated with the service, it is the advice. The waitress who is almost single takes plenty of time to advise us on the dishes as drinks. She takes the time to explain things and the difference to better guide our choices and this is a real plus.
Price Prices have risen slightly since last year. The Lomo piece of meat is available at 34€. It is a bit expensive but it’s so good! The rumsteack’s pad is at 24€. Rice with coconut milk (dessert of the day) was at 9€ and the cake at 8€.
Recommendation’s rate : 3.5/5 Prefer starters to desserts, but the meat beef is simply excellent.
