Ten days ago , I tested an address in the heart of Paris, close to Chatelet area and the Rue de Rivoli.
BAM (Bar à Manger ) – French Cuisine
Taste of the meal In the menu of the restaurant, a very small selection of dishes : 4 starters , 5 main courses and 5 desserts but that changes regularly. I wasn’t very hungry so I did not do my greedy and I chose to take a dish followed by a dessert but no starter. I chose the chicken supreme with pear and clafoutis of peas and bacon which was very good . The chicken was quite tender, slightly dry but with little net sauce and the pear it was perfect. And clafoutis was full of flavor. My friends chose tagliatelle with lemon cream and turmeric along with duck house duck, prawns with rosemary, artichoke and arugula ; and mesclun salad with avocado, ham, mozzarella and pickled pepper. For dessert I ate the chocolate sauce and banana ice cream. The cake was a real flowing : the coup spoon , chocolate poured into the plate! For cons , I would have preferred another flavor of ice cream . My friends took the blown caramel and pear sorbet.
Setting BAM is a very small restaurant but with high ceilings, so a mezzanine was installed to install some additional tables. With brick wall and greenery on the tables and soft lighting, the place is very nice. We hardly see anything with these photos of the restaurant but as the place is very small, I could not take the rest without taking other customers…
Service Fast and efficient.
Price On the menu that night, the main course cost between 16 and 20€ and the desserts between 8 and 9€. With an offer via La Fourchette -20% off drinks, I paid 25€ for a main course, a dessert and a coconut juice. The plates are not plentiful but in my opinion this is not so bad even if the addition is a little high.
Recommendation : 3,5/5
