For the first day in London, we mostly did shopping. With the ongoing sales, we couldn’t do otherwise! But the 2nd day, we ambled all the day. We so mush ambled that this day will be subject to three different items.
From our hotel, we took the subway to get the Embarkment station to go along the banks and go past Big Ben before getting Buckingham Palace for the changing of the guard and then take a break at Green Park.
We were very lucky because the weather was incredibly nice that morning. We lingered on the bridges on both sides of Embarkment to admire the view over the Thames. But we had to leave the place quickly because we had an appointment with the Royal Guard…
At 11am, there is a ceremony for the changing of the guard. In summer, the crowd is so compact it’s like being at the premiere of Harry Potter! If I have an advice, it would be to come early to get the best place.
