Today, I take you with me to admire the sculptures in Piazza della Signoria and make a trip to the Uffizi Gallery. Piazza della Signoria was once the site of mass gatherings where we can find the Palazzo Vecchio and its museum as well as sculptures of Cosme the 1st of Medicis family and the Fountain of Neptune.

At the right side of Palazzo Vecchio, there is the Loggia dei Lanzi that is a small open air museum as in a courtyard where you can admire beautiful sculptures.
This place is really open and you can sit quietly and admire the works. Ce eat a glass there!

A few steps from Piazza della Signoria, there is one of the finest museums of Florence: the Uffizi Gallery. Unfortunately photos are not allowed in these places but I still took some shots.
The museum houses paintings and sculptures but among the most beautiful works, you can find The Birth of Venus and Spring by Botticelli (I could not take pictures but I’m sure you know these works) .
For practical issues, it’s strongly advised to book tickets in advance (see note on practical information). The entry for bookings is made from the Piazzale degli Uffizi courtyard.
