Well, I rather used the second visits these last months in terms of restaurant but last week, I tested a pizzeria located at 2 steps from forum des Halles.
Pizza Wawa – Pizzeria
Taste of the meal The dinner started with some antipasti for some who preferred salty starters than sweet desserts. Seeing the plates arrived, I confess that I almost regretted not having succumbed to the combo starter + main course + dessert.
For th main course, the majority of our table of 7 people opted for a nice pizza (the salad salmon above is the main course version). I ordered pizza with the most calorie loaded the whole table with Crema Pizza with mozzarella, porcini cream, duck gizzards and parsley garnish. Among the house specialties pizzas, there was also the Lei Duo with 2 recipes on the same pizza: grilled zucchini and tomato confit on one side and spinach and grilled prawns the other, and there was Rico Pizza with ham, mozzarella, truffle oil and oregano. Among the classics, there was the 4 seasons.
For dessert, we were was almost all thrown on the Tiramisu because it was said home made. Unfortunately it was a real big disappointment. The cream was too fluid and everything was not quite tasty for my taste. The flowing chocolate heart has not kept its promises because nothing flowed from its heart!
Setting The decor of this restaurant has nothing very remarkable except its painted baroque wallpaper that can be seen here and there.
Service The waitress was very funny. By cons, the timing : the pizzas were a little late but as we were not rushed and we had a lot to say, this did not more annoyed than that.
Price It costs between 6 and 14€ for a starter. The pizzas are displayed between 9€ for the most basic and 17€ for better stocked. For dessert, they cost between 5.5€ and 8€. Having booked via the website thefork.com we had a discount 40% off. Main course with pizza, dessert and a glass of juice cost me about 17 €.
Conclusion The pizzas are pretty good by cons desserts are avoided. With the discount, the address has a very good quality / price ratio.Without discount, pizza still worth it.
